💡 Three Rules for Solving Equations
- Do the same to both sides. Whatever you do to the left side, do to the right side too.
- Undo addition with subtraction (and vice versa). If x + 5 = 12, subtract 5 from both sides → x = 7.
- Undo multiplication with division (and vice versa). If 3x = 15, divide both sides by 3 → x = 5.
